We actively monitor our community’s feedback and recently we have seen an increase in the number of reviews noting skin irritation for our Sheer Mineral SPF 30. While the total number of cases is very low, we take the experience of all of our customers very seriously. Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to remove the SPF from Biossance.com and all global retail channels.

We deeply apologize to our community, especially those who have experienced discomfort from this issue. Biossance is committed to creating products at the highest level of safety and ensures extensive testing takes place during all stages of development. We are currently conducting a thorough analysis to determine the cause of any irritation experienced by the impacted customers.

Product Returns

If you have experienced irritation and purchased from Biossance.com, please reach out to customercare@biossance.com for assistance with a refund. If you purchased from one of our retail partners, please follow the return instructions on their website. 

We encourage anyone who has a reaction to reach out to our Customer Care team at customercare@biossance.com and share the lot number located on the top back of the product. Your help here is greatly appreciated. 

If you have purchased SPF and have not yet used it, we encourage you to patch test prior to use. If you experience any irritation, please rinse it off immediately and follow the above return instructions. If you have been using the SPF without issue, feel free to continue using it, but dispose of it at the first sign of any irritation.
