Our Linoleic Acid is derived from Soybean. Also our Glycerin comes from many vegetable sources and one of those vegetables is commonly soybean and/or corn. (like all vegetable derived glycerin, so if she uses other products with it and is ok... she should be ok as these are derivatives and not whole soybean.
5. WHEN DOES THIS EXPIRE?
Rose Vegan Lip Balm is best used within 12 months after opening.
6. IS THIS ROSE LIP BALM FRAGRANCE FREE?
No synthetic fragrance or essential oils are added, so it is completely fragrance free. The ingredients themselves do emit a mild scent that should dissipate a minute or two after application.

Love this lip balm! No scent, no irritating tingle, doesn't dry my lips out or disappear quickly, and keeps my lips soft and comfortable! It's ever so slightly thick in a way that keeps the product on my lips longer, without being sticky or tacky or heavy, if that makes sense? Definitely one of my favorite lip balms.

Update
Update on my previous review: I purchased two of these. The first, I mentioned in my previous review as having separated into a liquid consistency which gave me a tingling sensation upon application. I barely used the first tube, and decided to open the second tube in case the first came from a bad batch. Unfortunately the second one did the exact same thing. Not only that, but matters got worse. I tried to massage it all back together but it's kind of impossible to do a good job at that with the limitations of the tube. Nonetheless, I love the original baby jar so much that I wanted these to work, so I kept applying the second tube. Two times during these applications I woke up with lips that we're severely peeling and red, as if burned. The first time, I wishfully thought this may have been something else that caused it, but the second time, there was no doubt this was due to the new formula in the tubes, as that was all I used that night with no addition of any other products. I have now tossed them in the trash, and am very sad to report that I will never purchase these again. I hope no one else deals with something like this.
