1. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE FROM PRESCRIPTION-STRENGTH RETINOL?
Retinoids are the group of Vitamin A derivatives that have been proven to stimulate cell renewal. The active ingredient of Vitamin A is retinoic acid. This serum contains two powerfully gentle retinoid ingredients, retinaldehyde and retinol. The retinaldehyde in this formula is time released to ensure maximum stability and absorption while allowing the Vitamin A active work gradually while you sleep for maximum efficacy.
2. WHY SHOULD I ONLY USE THIS AT NIGHT?
We recommend this serum in evening use because retinol and retinal can cause sensitivity to the sun. It is also important to wear a daily sunscreen every morning and reapply during the day.
3. DOES THIS PRODUCT QUALIFY FOR CLEAN AT SEPHORA?
Yes, our Squalane + Retinol Night Serum is part of the Clean at Sephora collection. This serum is best for those concerned with signs of aging, including fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin tone. It can be used both as a preventative and corrective treatment, but it should not be used while pregnant.
4. HOW CAN I COMBINE WITH OTHER BIOSSANCE SERUMS?
We recommend using Squalane + Retinol Night Serum in the evening and choosing a day serum, like our Squalane + Vitamin C Dark Spot Serum or Squalane + Copper Peptide Serum. Be sure to start using a small, pea size quantity of retinol when starting out, even alternating between the nights used. Since our retinol is a powerful serum, we don't recommend layering with other treatment products, but encourage you to layer with other moisturizers and oils.
5. WHY DOES THIS INCLUDE BOTH RETINOL AND RETINAL?
Retinol and retinal work together to increase performance and minimize irritation of the skin for powerful, yet gentle results.
Apply pea-size amount to clean, dry skin at night.

Smooth but not much results
I received a free sample from Influenster and Biossance to try out. The serum was nice and smooth. Has a nice scent to it and not sticky or greasy. Which is always nice since my face tends to clog easily if it’s too heavy or greasy. I didn’t see any change for my face for dark spots and uneven skin tone. I also didn’t see any tightness but I didn’t have many wrinkles so that is hard to judge. It might work for others but sadly I didn’t see any difference.

Works well, would purchase in future
I noticed an improvement after a single use, and continued improvements upon repeated use. My skin looked brighter, more plump, improved texture and diminished fine lines. I have sensitive skin and this product did not irritate it at all. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality skincare product. I recieved this product free for review.

A must have product!
I loved that this serum did not irritate my skin, it helped minimize my texture (years of acne), it helped brighten and fade some of my hyperpigmentation. It also did not dry my skin like other products I’ve tried.

Acclimation
I love the bottle it came in, but the lid was a bit of a snug fit. I started off using it as recommended, every other day. However , it dried my face out so badly that I had to cut back to once a week. I am now using it 2 times a week. I think because I was not regularly using retinol that my skin is having to get acclimated to it. I did receive this product for free to try out.

Nice Serum
I like this night serum. It was lightweight and easy to apply. It absorbed quickly into my skin and had no heavy lingering smell. I haven't seen much of a change yet, but I will be patient and continue to use it.

Good
I haven’t used this long enough to be able to tell whether or not it does all that it claims. I have dry and sensitive skin and have not had any bad reactions. It feels nice on the skin. If it is too strong, I recommend a slow introduction by mixing it with your moisturizer and building it up to applying it on its own. I use it every third day.

Great for sensitive skin
I haven’t been using this very long but when I wake up my skin feels so smooth and plump! I use it on one my off days from tretinoin (I have spent almost a year working up to this tolerance) it doesn’t cause my skin to be dry or irritated in anyway. It’s a very pleasant experience added into my simple skincare routine.

New addition to night time routine
I have used other retinol products before. I used to have really bad hormonal acne. I think the big difference with this product is the combo retinol and squalane..where I used to feel so dried out, with this my skin feels nourished in the morning. I will probably be ordering more when I start to get low. You only need a little bit so there is a ton of product in the bottle. I received this complementary to use and review and I'm so glad I got it!
