Holy Grail Sunscreen: Biossance Squalane + Zinc Sheer Mineral Sunscreen (5/5 stars)
This sunscreen is a dream come true! As someone who struggles to find sunscreens that are lightweight, hydrating, and don't break me out, this one ticks all the boxes. Here's what I love about it: Lightweight and invisible: It feels like a moisturizer going on, not a greasy sunscreen. It blends in perfectly and leaves no white cast, making it great for all skin tones. Hydrating: No more dry, flaky skin from sunscreen! This formula is super moisturizing and leaves my skin feeling soft and dewy. Non-comedogenic: Hallelujah! I haven't experienced a single breakout since I started using this sunscreen. Multitasking: It acts as a moisturizer, sunscreen, and primer all in one. This saves me time in the morning and reduces the number of products I need on my face. Here are some other benefits that I've noticed: Great for makeup wear: My makeup applies smoothly on top and doesn't pill throughout the day. Protects from more than just UV rays: It also shields my skin from pollution and blue light damage, which is a major plus. Like the old, but a little thicker
I just got this, and it’s really similar to the old one (thank goodness because I loved the old one). I do love a good spf that doesn’t break me out, and this one fits the bill!

Effective Sun Protection with a Matte Finish
I've been using this sunscreen every day, and the new formula has definitely caught my attention. Compared to the old formula, the new one is thicker and provides a more matte finish. While the old formula had a nice sheen to it, the matte look of the new formula is great for daily wear, especially under makeup. One significant upgrade is the increase in Zinc Oxide content. The new formula boasts 17.68% Zinc Oxide, a significant jump from the old formula's 14% Zinc Oxide. This higher concentration ensures better protection against harmful UV rays, making it a reliable choice for daily sun protection.

must have to skincare routine
Thank you BIOSSANCE for releasing a new mineral SPF, it was hard trying to find another replacement. New formula has been great so far. Great texture, it is non greasy and leaves no white cast. Love that it is weightless and blends seamlessly. This should be a must have product for those who need spf as part of their skincare routine!

I am enjoying the new formula of this sunscreen. I like that it’s thicker and not as runny as the previous one, but still blends in and doesn’t leave a white cast on my skin. It feels light on my skin.

My new go-to SPF!
This is my new go-to SPF! I normally use a mineral sunscreen so I was expecting the consistency to be thick leaving a white film on my skin but Biossance never fails! The consistency is thin (but not too thin) and creamy. It goes on even and leaves your skin feeling hydrated. I have been this wearing this SPF under my makeup and it keeps my skin moisturized while soaking up (literally) the benefits of the ingredients. When I wash it off or it gets in contact with water it does not irritate my eyes like other SPFs do. On days I choose not to wear makeup, it leaves my skin dewy and glowing without looking oily. This SPF is already an essential additional to my skincare routine and is my new go-to SPF every time I step in the sun ! :)

Wow!
I love this new formulation! I was worried at first because it’s thicker than the original one but as soon as you wok it into the skin it melts in perfectly! It does has a matte finished compared to the original which I love! It’s not heavy and my skin still feels hydrated.

I was really hyped to hear that the product was going to be reformulated. This has been the only sunscreen I use and I tend to buy a lot as I use it for my body too. When I first opened it and put a pea size amount on my hand I was worried because the consistency/ texture is thick compared to the original one. My first thought was “it’s definitely going to leave a white cast and it’s going to feel heavy “ but as I worked it into my skin it melting in and there was no white cast or greasiness at all!! This one does give a Matte finish and I’m really loving it !!

This sunscreen is worth getting! It does not leave your skin looking white as typical sunscreen does. Once applied on the skin, you will notice a bit of shine but not greasy. I'll be using this sunscreen throughout summer.

love it - no white cast!
I received the newly formulated product in exchange for my honest review. I have sensitive and dry skin. I also have sensitive eyes, and Biossance sunscreen is one of the few sunscreens that does not irritate them. I love the light consistency of the formula, and it does not leave a white cast. For reference, I have an East Asian tan skin tone. It always keeps my skin looking glowy and healthy after applying them. And I just love applying it to my face because of that, so it is a big plus for me to keep my sunscreen game!
