New and Improved
I loved the original Biossance sunscreen, but the new formula is even better! The new version is very hydrating on my dry skin without being greasy or leaving a cast.

Sheer and luminous
I've been using the Biossance mineral sunscreen for at least a year now and have been madly in love. I switched to mineral sunscreen years ago during the pregnancy of my first child when I realized how dangerous chemical sunscreens really are. However everything I used left me pasty and sticky, and feeling oh-so-icky on hot days. But I stuck with it because it was better than exposing my baby and myself to harmful chemicals. I discovered Biossance last year and immediately fell in love with the entire line, including the sunscreen. When I learned the formula was changing this spring I immediately panicked! Not only do I use it everyday, but I also will occasionally apply it to my two children when their's isn't on hand. But the new formula doesn't disappoint! It's light and dreamy. It is weightless over my Biossance morning routine and unnoticeable under my make-up. I also love the sheer glow it gives my skin. On more laid back days I can easily just apply a little concealer here and there - the sunscreen has almost a diffusing affect and lasts for a while. My only request is that I wish there was a waterproof version for beach days!! :)

Wish I could love it
This sunscreen was perfect at first. I love that it dries matte and was essentially unscented. It is reef safe which is important to me. It felt moisturizing and not super chalky. However, after a few hours, the skin around my eyes (uppermost part of my cheekbones and also my brown bone) would start to sting. I tried it on several non consecutive days just to test it and it caused irritation and bumps each time. These cleared up after a day of disuse. Nothing else about my skincare routine was different. I was so hoping to love it but I have to pass on it.

Sensitive Skin Review
My sensitive skin loves this sunscreen! This sunscreen does not cause my skin to burn or breakout. It layers and blends perfectly with makeup. I also love that there is not a strong fragrance because I am super sensitive to fragrances as well. Another great product from Biossance!

Now has vitamin e
I LOOOVVVEEE Biossance skincare. I actually flocked to this particular product (in the past) due to the fact that it was mineral, barely had any white cast, and was free of vitamin e. I have a major sensitivity to vitamin e and this was the first sunscreen I found that had all 3 components I was looking for. However the new ingredients now lists tocopherol which I understand is great for almost everybody. But for people like me I’m saddened… Hopefully the old sunscreen I still have can last for a while but I’m definitely gonna have to find a new one now.

Brown Skin Approved!
As a brown girl I love that this product does exactly what it says! Blends in beautifully, no white cast in sight. I've been using Black Girl Sunscreen for awhile now, but wanted to switch to something healthier for the skin. Finding a mineral sunscreen that doesn't leave darker skin tones ghostly is difficult. The downside for me is I wish you got more ounces for your dollar. 1.7 oz seems too little for the price point, and not sure I can justify spending that much.

Very IMPROVED!
Vastly improved over the old formula. I’m active and at high altitude and the old formula always just wore off too fast. The new one has staying power! Love the less greasy feel and my bronzer stay put on top of it. So happy!

Somehow, they did it again! This may be the only sunblock I've ever used where I'm protected from UVA/UVB AND my skin still looks amazing and hydrated after it's applied. Amazing!

Elegant Sunscreen
So here’s the thing…I loved the old sunscreen. It was weirdly oily but my skin has been looking so good since I, middle aged lady, started seriously taking care of it and the fact that it made me vaguely reflective was fine. When biossance pulled it I was not happy. I had to find a new sunscreen?! I tried several super pricey brands but I don’t love any of them and I have been eagerly awaiting the return of my fave. This is not quite the same as the original. It’s a touch thicker and it doesn’t give me that super shiny look. I was a little disappointed at first but after wearing it for a week I have changed my mind. My skin looks great! This is still cosmetically elegant and does well with not pilling. I rarely wear makeup but it works well as a primer. You do have to rub it in well as it’s zinc, but it’s worth the ten extra seconds. (People who are not beyond pale like me may speak to if it leaves a cast. It does not for me.) It’s not super moisturizing but it leaves my skin soft and not tacky or greasy or dry. I feel like it has calmed some of my redness as well. Overall, very happy to be able to return to biossance for my sunscreen needs!

Great for sensitive skin
Missing the creaminess & moisture of the old formula. It left my skin glowing and I didn’t have to use my moisturizer with it. New formula has a very matte finish & leaves me skin feeling not as “quenched.” Still a great product that I will continue to use due to the way it gives me no issues with my sensitive skin. I hope they will be coming out with a value size!
