Squalane is the powerhouse ingredient at the heart of every Biossance formula. It's bioidentical to the moisture found in human skin, making it weightless and instantly absorbed and perfect for use all over the body. Our squalane is derived from sustainable sugarcane, a purer, vegan, more ethical, and more effective version than other forms of squalane. And since it replaces the need for similar moisture taken from the livers of sharks, it saves millions of these critical apex predators per year.
- Squalane oil for the face instantly hydrates and locks in essential moisture.
- Helps boost the absorption of other active ingredients and enables them to work more effectively.
- Promotes microbiome diversity for healthier-looking skin.

JUST ONE INGREDIENT:
Squalane Oil: Weightless, hydrating and high-performing oil, sustainably sourced from sugarcane. Replenishes lost-moisture, helps to maintain hydration and leave the skin exceptionally soft.
1. WHERE DOES YOUR 100% SQUALANE COME FROM? WHY SUGARCANE AND NOT OLIVES?
Traditionally Squalane was harvested from shark liver, though our scientists spent years developing pure Squalane from 100% plant-based, renewable sugarcane. The quality of Squalane produced from olives depends on unreliable factors like weather and crop growth. The quality and purity of our sugarcane Squalane is stable and cost effective.
2. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SQUALANE AND SQUALENE?
The human body produces SqualEne. Squalene is part of our skin's own natural moisture, but the amount made and retained in your skin decreases over time. Our Squalane is a hydrogenated version of Squalene which makes it more suitable for sensitive skin. Additionally, our sugarcane-derived Squalane is a sustainable alternative to the historical production method of squalene from shark liver. Our background in biotechnology allows us to create products that are effective and sustainably sourced wherever possible.
3. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 100% SQUALANE OIL AND SQUALANE + VITAMIN C ROSE OIL? DO I NEED BOTH?
While they both contain super hydrating Squalane, our Vitamin C Rose Oil also contains...(you guessed it!) Vitamin C and rose essential oil, making it suitable for facial use. Our 100% Squalane Oil can be used head-to-toe as an all-over body, face and hair hydrator.
Squalane Oil For Face: Rub a small amount of pure squalane oil together between hands to warm. Pat gently onto face, neck and décolleté.
Squalane Oil For Body: Massage a few pumps onto skin immediately after showering, paying close attention to areas needing extra hydration like arms, legs, and knees.
Squalane Oil For Hair: Rub a small amount of pure squalane oil between hands and smooth through dry or wet hair to add shine and tame flyaways, split ends and frizz.
TIPS:
Use 100% squalane as a cuticle oil.

Absolutely LOVE it!
I decided to go ahead and try a sample of this one day. When I tried it for a few days I noticed a difference and was very pleased! I have since bought some and I use it often. This is the first product I've tried that helps me with my dry skin and appearance of wrinkles around my eyes. My skin seems to have bounced back and I couldn't be happier. I will continue to purchase this product and I recommend it to anyone.

FABULOUS !!!
I ordered the very generous samples cost only for the shipping, they came in very cute dropper bottles in dark green, I am well over 60 with dry skin and old acne scars, and I still get trouble with clogged pores with some products,I am always trying to find the perfect cream, or lotion and spend too much on products that really do nothing. The first time I used Bio essence I woke up with my skin soft and glowing and not oily at all.It has been a month or so and I am still using the samples although I have ordered the full size squalane oil. I love this product so much and I even use it on my hair to tame those little fly away's I love rose oil too but went with the regular squalane oil because of the price, the rose oil will be my next order if it ever goes on sale but in the meantime I love this product so much. Ladies get your samples there is no risk and you will be hooked. It doesn't clog my pores, and as a matter of fact it has helped clear my face and leave it smooth.

Love as a traditional lotion replacement!
I don’t like using oil on my face as it makes me feel too greasy… however! I used Squalane oil after a shower last night and my skin felt so luxurious! Takes a few minutes to soak in completely, but then feels amazing!
