Rose Moisturizer w/Vitamin C

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have sensitive skin and this moisturizer is very kind to my skin. l use it during the winter as my skin gets very dry. It has a wonderful smell and a nice texture that absorbs easily. It is both a good cosmetic product that also delivers a nice "spa" experience too. (During the Florida summer, I use the Squalene Probiotic Gel as my skin gets oily in the summer.)

Great scent

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I love the way this moisturizer smells. Usually products with fragrance irritate my sensitive skin, but this doesn’t. I also love the consistency of this moisturizer. It goes on so smooth and keeps my face feeling hydrated for hours. A little goes a long way which helps make it last longer too.

Formula Change

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I always purchase a new jar before my old one runs out. I was able to compare the new product side by side and it has drastically changed. The old formula is thick and viscous and the new formula is watered down. It literally feels like they have added more water. I’m so disappointed. It took me a really long time to find this one and I loved the old one, but this new formula is so different.

Another formula change

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

They’ve changed the formula on this one - - it used to be a more bouncy, gel-like texture and very hydrating (sort of similar to the old Biossance probiotic gel moisturizer before they reformulated it). Now it’s a bit greasy and doesn’t feel like it’s absorbing at all. Super sad that Biossance has made all these product changes now that they’re private equity owned. The products used to be amazing

Greasy

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I previously loved Biossance products but this has kind of killed the love for me. My face broke out within 48 hours of use and Biossance has completely ignored my requests to swap this product out. With as much money as I have given them, I am pretty disappointed in this product as well as this company.

Formula Change?

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I absolutely love the original formula of this moisturizer. I have sensitive skin and the other options from biossance are too heavy and/or break me out. This moisturizer was perfect! Not too heavy, nice consistency, didn't cause break outs, and had a light rose smell. I recently got a travel size version and thought I got a defective product. The texture was different, the color was slightly off, and it smelled rancid. I emailed them and they sent me a replacement, which appears to be exactly the same. I thought it was unlikely I got two bad ones, so I came here to see other reviews saying the formula changed. So disappointing! The original is 5 stars, the new version is 1. I haven't tried putting it on my face because with a smell that is just so off-putting, I'm worried about what it would actually do to my skin. Aside from smelling like it has gone bad, it's hard to describe the smell... kind of medicinal? Tangy?

Why the change?

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

Just opened my second jar and the texture is definitely different. I loved the gel like texture in my first jar….it felt like applying silk to my skin. The new jar feels more like lotion. Why was it changed?

Changed formulation not as good

I loved the old product and am so disappointed— it seems the formulation has changed without notice. The texture of the product is completely different!

Adding a stable vitamin C for the "glow"

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I love this product. Used it when it first came out and was impressed. I am such a fan of the Squalane +Omega Repair Cream (my Holy Grail) that I pretty much stuck to that. However, I had a sample I took on a trip of this cream last May. It has one of the most stable forms of vitamin C, one that is efficiently absorbed and transforms into ascorbic acid. So you get the best of both worlds in an incredible moisturizer and a great, non-irritating vitamin C. Love this for every morning and is perfect to keep the glow going when traveling without a leaky bottle or too many extra products. It's a great addition if you also want to use it at night with your tretinoin or if you just want to use vitamin C at night too. I like the Copper peptide at night but will use this in a pinch. I am over 60 and these products are truly a favorite. I love the healthy glow and lovely texture of my skin

Doesn't work for my sensitive skin

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

Very lovely bottle and cream (color). However, it doesn't work for my sensitive skin. My skin flares up after using the product. Additionally, it has a fragrance of rose. I know many people like the rose smell, but prefer creams without odor.
