In celebration of being part of Clean at Sephora, we’re taking you on a six-week journey through No Compromise Beauty™, our own clean beauty commitment.
No Compromise Beauty™ takes several forms. The first is our formulations, which are nontoxic and free from harsh chemicals. The second is our focus on sustainability through our practice of developing eco-friendly formulas and packaging. The third is our clinically-proven results. We believe you shouldn’t have to choose just one or two of these when it comes to your skincare. No Compromise Beauty™ means you can have it all.
To learn more, check out our new-and-improved No Compromise Beauty™ page. There you’ll learn about our Blacklist, our take on the clean vs. natural debate, and more. Over the next six weeks, follow along on social media and check your emails for more information about our No Compromise™ approach to clean beauty.
We’re so excited to embark on this clean beauty adventure with you. Because the future is clean—and it starts with us.

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we’re honoring women who are at the forefront of the clean beauty space. Each of these leaders is deeply dedicated to advancing the clean beauty agenda and making clean the new standard. We chatted with five women in a range of roles—from our very own Biossance President to the woman who leads all things skincare at Sephora—to learn about their inspiration, what they love about clean beauty and their favorite Biossance product.
We’re here to provide clean beauty that’s better for you and the planet. Our sustainable star ingredient, squalane, is nature’s best moisturizer—it’s a powerfully effective head-to-toe hydrator—but its sister, squalene, has a complex sourcing story. Our scientists were determined to create a clean, sustainable and ethical squalene alternative. They discovered a way to bioengineer this mega-moisturizer as safely and effectively as the body does—we call it squalane. It’s made from sugarcane, a renewable resource, saving millions of sharks every year.
