There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes at Biossance when it comes to the packaging of your favorite clean skincare products. Our approach has a planet-first focus, and we turn to renewable Brazilian sugarcane as a foundation of our end-to-end packaging lifecycle. Read on to learn more about how we make industry-leading, sustainable packaging and how sugarcane plays a huge role.

Every time you order from Biossance, we plant trees and fund reforestation efforts to offset our carbon footprint. We’re thrilled to save 22 tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere each year from these efforts. We’ve also reduced excess shipping materials and have made recyclability a top outer-packaging priority.

We turn to our trusty MVP (most valuable plant) Brazilian sugarcane to create sugarcane plastic for our products, which leaves zero footprint. We also transform sugarcane waste into sugarcane paper outer packaging, which is fully recyclable. There are no plastic windows or metallic inks in our outer packaging to ensure recyclability, and our outer cartons are tree-free. We’re thrilled to have saved 5,000+ trees by using our sugarcane boxes and look forward to continuing to lead the industry.
